It was difficult not eating the subject on this one. I used Hoya Close-up Filters (+4, +2, +1) on this shot.

Post Processing:
- RAW Conversion
- Curves Adjustment Layer
- Flatten
- Resize
- Sharpen
- Add Border

Thanks for the comment ... I may give that a try someday, but for this challenge, I would expect I wouldn't have finished with a 6+ if everything was in focus, considering the assignment was a SHALLOW DOF.

Great color and rythum. A bit hard to isolate the blue M&M when somw of the orange ones are incfocus. Color is used more for isolation.

Quite good, but I would bring the focus (along with the blue thing) about 20% closer to the front.

focus point works as well as the shallow dof. i do think though that this is one of those stock shots, and i'm wondering what, if any, story exists in the image.

I like the picture. Very nicely executed and meets the challenge perfectly - great colors and detail. Just not very original.

There is such a thing as too little Depth of Field. This is one such case.
