A storm in the Pacific brought large waves to Southern California attracting local curiosity. While the waves weren't too impressive for photographs, the fog quickly rolled in. The sun overhead at about 1pm in the afternoon. More photos from this day after the challenge...well, you won't read this until then, anyway. :)

Photoshop: Crop, curves layer, contrast layer.

Update: OK, so this man was actually just getting up strangely from sitting, but it looked like a good catch! More photos from this day HERE.

...and he saves the camera! Gotta be so careful around sand. Nice pic. I hope you got some of the pier alone, it looks like it would make a great shot in the fog.

Funny. I think the real shot would have been good too.

Ha ha. Though it might not be a very well-taken photo it is indeed tickling.

Looks like he saved the camera from the fall ;)
Would have benifited from some fill flash so the subject isn't in shadow.

I love the composition. Only thing that could make this better would be to have the photographer a little more in focus. 6.

I like the fog best.

Very nice! Love how I am not the only one distracted in my camera that I don't watch where I am going! Good composition. Love the texture and the fog in the background is very nice, almost adds to the caution that should have been taken.

I feel for the guy.
No matter where you are when you fall the first thought is "How can I save the camera?"
At least it's the right time of year...because he had to end up with Sandy Claws!

I would like to see a bit cropped off the top of the fishing pier at the top of the concrete, nice shot anyway, I like it.
