Your image fits the user name you chose. I think with a bit more contrast or stronger shadows it would be even more effective. |

dual tones work well - really like the darker clove against the creamy background -- one of my favorites this challenge |

you're probably getting "needs more contrast" comments, or comments that they don't like the toning. IMO if this was shot on purpose to be high key, it depends a lot on the viewer to "understand" the shapes in garlic. I will say that a bit more depth of field might have helped your subject stand out if you want to keep the high key effect. |

7 - Good. Like the way you pulled it apart and chopped some up to 'showcase'. Criticism; a little 'blown' in my opinion, although I realize you may have been going for a 'high key' effect. Just more detail in the textures and 'sliced garlic', would have made this better in my opinion. |

Garlic is a bit boring to photograph, but I can actually smell it here! LOL... |

Excellent exposure control. I still see plenty of detail in the whites, and the tonal range is not lost between white and the darker areas of the pod. Good composition and sharpness as well. :) |
