Your image fits the user name you chose. I think with a bit more contrast or stronger shadows it would be even more effective.

dual tones work well - really like the darker clove against the creamy background -- one of my favorites this challenge

you're probably getting "needs more contrast" comments, or comments that they don't like the toning. IMO if this was shot on purpose to be high key, it depends a lot on the viewer to "understand" the shapes in garlic. I will say that a bit more depth of field might have helped your subject stand out if you want to keep the high key effect.

7 - Good. Like the way you pulled it apart and chopped some up to 'showcase'. Criticism; a little 'blown' in my opinion, although I realize you may have been going for a 'high key' effect. Just more detail in the textures and 'sliced garlic', would have made this better in my opinion.

Excellent exposure control. I still see plenty of detail in the whites, and the tonal range is not lost between white and the darker areas of the pod. Good composition and sharpness as well. :)
