Oh Man!! This SO deserved a better score than 5.6. This was one of my favorites. I love the clean lines of this. The colors. Look at the score your commenters gave you. That's much more like it.

I think you could have gotten away with cropping this closer and emphasizing the pattern in the leaf. But i can see how maybe you have taken a wider view and used the shape of the hills as further patterns and this works also. I especialy like its simplicity and serene feel

THAT is BEAUTIFUL! I keep looking at it, and the more I look at it, the more I love it. The different patterns represented here are awesome. The muted mountain pattern in the background. The sharp as a tack pattern on the leave. Simple. Elegant. DEFINITELY one of my favorites in this challenge. Good Luck! 10

I like that you isolated the subject very effectively from the background. I just wish you had pulled in a lot closer. This little leaf surrounded by so much empty space doesn't quite make a bold enough statement for me.

Awesome. Love the single backlit leaf. Great DOF. I wonder if the background could actually be a tad less blurred? Oh well... really beautiful image.

There are quite a few pictures in this challenge showing nature's patterns with varying degree of success. This one is one of the better ones, due to its simplicity. I think it would work even better if you could get even closer to the leaf and get rid of the redundant (and slightly out of focus) branch to the right. Good try nevertheless (7)
