...you have made shape the primary subject on this. Interesting elements - limited colour palette, a exquisite minimal design - jagged ice, good use of use of light & dark, positive & negative space, brought together very well.

Great focus, lighting and exposure.

I love the freeform shapes of the ice crystals in this photo. The focus is so sharp and detailed that we can see all the imperfections/bubbles withing each icicle. The composition is simple and clean with the main focus staying and settling on those various sized icicles - The image is crisp in sharpness but because of the subject I also feel the "crisp" from the coldness in the air. I also like the long icicle on the far right for it twists & curves, adding a unique shape that sets it apart from the other icicles.

This photo better than any in the challenge uses foreground/background to define an interesting shape. It is really a very powerful and interesting image.

Lovely subject, perhaps a little predictably used

simple - graceful

7 - Very nice. Interesting natural shapes. Nice simple coloring. Criticism; very difficult, but even sharper, more defined on the icicles and their 'glassiness', would have made this even better in my opinion. The patterns within them look interesting too, but hard to discern/appreciate at this size of course. I like the composition/crop, perhaps a fraction more space on the right would have given this a little more overall balance, but minor.
