Thanks to everyone for the comments! I'm totally with you on the clutter in the upper left - I would love for that not to be there! Oh well, we work with what we have.

Excellent use of several repeating shapes. The pattern in the stairs, the stairs themselves, and the square tiles. Little to much extra junk in the upper left corner, but all and all not bad at all. 8

The idea is good, but I think the composition could be better. I don't like the way there is so much room at the top while the bottom stairs are cropped. I think you should explore other angles. I realize this can be challenging with something like a spiral staircase, but a more straight down angle would show the shape better. Perhaps underneath looking up? Also, the lighting is uneven, like you were using a flash and it reflected more off the closer steps than the other ones.
