 Used a flashlight to eluminate the ball of glass from beneath.

Post processing: Just used the default settings Camera Raw gave me expect I tweaked the blue color saturation a bit and finally some light USM.

Very nice composition, color and lighting. It is not as colorful as some of the other entries but has more drama from the lighting then several. Did you shoot a version where you can see your eyes? I can't decide if that would help or hurt this picture.

Very nice take on the challenge... perhaps jubjaect is a littl lost in so much black but not a big deal really... nice job... :)

Wit the composition the focus seems to be more on the kid... the glass ball doesn't really have any serious bursts of color either, just a few darkish swirls... if the light had been colored then maybe, but this doesn't reach me like some of the other photos do.

This has a wizard sort of sense to it. I like the light on the guy's face. The blue of the ball does have a burst of color too!
