Greetings from the Critique Club!
Technical:A really well captured shot. The image seems to be well exposed and necessary details are visible. Though most of the comments are positive about "snake eye", I can spot some over saturation there...maybe it will be more visible in full size image.
Aesthetic:The warm light adds to the punch. Maybe a little more details would have made it more ideal.
Challenge:Offcourse- Anything would fit in for this challenge theme :)
Conclusion:Oveall a good photograph. I did not voted for this challenge but would have given this something between 6-7 which is inline with average score. You really have got some better captures, of nature, in your profile.
I'm by no means expert in area of photography. My comments are purely based on my limited understanding of technology and art behind digital photography. Apart from doing detailed evaluation of your submission, my intent is to learn different styles of photography by critically evaluating selective submissions. Wish you a great day!

This is a beautiful photo! The reflections in his/her eyes makes me think of Egypt for some unknown reason. I could stare at this picture for hours! |

Crazy reflection in the eye. It's a nice contrast with rest of the body To bad that blue light is there and that the reflection (your reflection?) of the person is so obvious. Imagine it hadn't been there...damn. I'm nitpicking sorry. Great shot 8 |

Very disconcerting! Not a snake fan but I love this shot. Just fantastic lighting. Hope you're happy with this photo because I don't think it could be done better. 10. |

I don't like snakes and you have captured wonderfully what it is about them that makes me frightened. Excellent. |

If this is a real snake, this shot is amazing. I'm speechless at the amount of talent on DPC. wow... |

hiding the snake in shadows is the perfect strategy for this symbolically evil creature. |

Very nice! You certainly have captured the cobra at it's finest. Some may not like the lighting (shadowing) but I think it's near perfect. Sort of a hidden, waiting to defend shot. A++ |
