6th place...

Over the moon. Thank you so much. I knew that it fitted the challenge but i really did not expect this. the excitement all week has been great. i admitt that a ribbon was running around my head. I went for exactly this shot. Lowered my megapixels to 3 from 12 to allow me to shoot at 800iso to stop the crowd.
Thank you, thank you.

Congratulations on a well earned score and your top 10 finish. This is wonderful. I particularly liked your choice of a sepia look rather then B&W. I really liked busy images for this challenge and yours was.

Excellent entry. I like the composition and the duotone creates that old fashioned feeling.

I really like the feel and tone of this image. Certainly says "busy", but also shows something for real and I can get a sense of being there. Nice choice of sepia for this. With the minimum amount of vehicular traffic this feels like it's from some time long ago. Not sure really how to describe it...but, I do like it. Job well done! Congrats in advance on your ribbon? ;^)

Slightly grainy, but the colourless picture captures what a grey event the sales are

a familiar scene to many! i really like the height this shot seems to be taken from- it gives perspective and clearly shows the sheer volume of people. well captured

Who can argue, city life for sure. Seems a bit oversharpened but I like the capture.

That car seems so out of place in this shot. What a busy street you've captured here, and a clever title with the way you've chosen to color this one. Nicely done.

Really like the sense of teeming humanity perspective; seems to lose focus though in the mid to far distance, maybe need smaller aperture

Hi. Nice crowd shot, well-conveyed. Wonder how it would look with the contrast down one peg. The sepia tones work well. Thanks.

I was looking for a long time for an image that fits the challenge. (This is how I used to start voting usually.) Now, after looking at many shots, I found it, and I found a good quality one. Yes, this is really about city life in theme, composition, color, feeling. Unfortunately it's so hard for me to read the banner, but that's all I don't like about this shot. Grats.

This has a rather timeless feel to it. It would be easy to attribute that to the sepia tone but I thin more it is the random capture of the huge crowd of people in the streets. I would like it quite a bit more if it were a bitter sharper in focus. It's the kind of shot that a large format film camera captures so well because the great depth of field and the incredible sharpness allows you to really spend time perusing details and faces. With this exposure everything is a bit too grainy to really spend a lot of time with.

There's plenty of "Life" in this shot! I like the composition very much. The sepia is a nice touch and the simple black border really works. It almost looks a touch over-sharpened but it's difficult working with such small image sizes. Great title too - good work.
