Too much sky for my taste

Clouds give a beatiful contrast against the green and blue

Nice skyscape. Good use of rule of thirds although not really enough in the bottom third to keep me interested.

A heron? I like the layers of colors

excellent color, but that's about all it's got going for it. i think a strong vertical composition with the birds in the lower third and zoomed in a bit would be an excellent shot with a big colorful punch.

It almost seems as if the focus is on the sky. I would have liked to see the birds closer-up.

I see a lot of digital noise in the clouds. With the exception of that, this is a lovely landscape. I don't think the photo would suffer if the shaded area of the foreground were cropped mostly out. The birds along the edges of the taller grasses is a really nice touch.

Even with the birds, I feel this photo lacks a real focal point. It does have nice contrast and colour though. I think it seems a bit soft too, so maybe a slight application of USM could help?

Looking out across the field, Jim realized that today was going to be his day. Today would be the day he started everything new.

I enjoy the transition from horizon to sky and the seperation provided by the grassline in the field.

A nice landscape shot but there's no subject to draw the eye. The herons (or whatever) are too small and distant to be very clear.
