This is fantastic comment, and stuff that am looking for on dpchallenge. This will help me alot next time I need to do this type of shot. Thanks for your comment.

Would have been higher score if the image had been in focus better.

Love those warm orange tones and am impressed by the police capture :)

Its interesting but would like it sharper IMHO

nice pic

i like the concept...i wish the buildings were more in focus

The fact that nothing is in focus gives me the impression that the picture is just, well, out-of-focus.

It took me a minute to get the title - instinct made me look for a bobby somewhere in the shot. Having the car blurred is fine, but it would have been nice if the buildings were sharp. Try a tripod, or at least sit the camera on or against something solid to help you out maybe.

Too much camera chake; uninteresting subject.

Interesting photo, the clock tower seems to glow with its own light. A bit too unfocused for my taste though.
01/06/2006 07:38:52 PM
A bit too soft for my tastes. Maybe less highway and closer on the subect would make this more powerful.
01/06/2006 02:24:19 PM
Good, but a bit too much camera shake.

as a suggestion, you should try with a tripod and it would improve the sharpness of your pictures

Looks like you tried this handheld. If you were trying to express motion, I don't think it works too well in this picture (IMO).

This might have been an excellent photo using a tripod and a faster shutter speed.

Nice try at nightscape. For the lighting you were dealing with it, I'd say a very good attempt! In night shots, a tripod is absolutly necasary!!! if nothing else, bring your tripod, and forget your camera at home, lol.

Too much camera shake for me.
01/05/2006 10:52:20 AM
this picture was going to be better if you had used a tripod
01/05/2006 10:06:44 AM
Best to use a tripod with this type of shot, I can't find a point of focus
01/05/2006 04:15:07 AM
pity your camera wasn't on a tripod

I like your attemt with the policecar but the buildings in the bacground are not infocus making the image too blurry..

Composition is ok. The choice of subject matter is ok. The image quality is very poor. Could have been a little more creative. - 3

this picture would really look nice with a different white balance and if the buildings werent blurry..
01/04/2006 07:53:07 PM
The focus is too soft for me.
01/04/2006 03:52:24 PM
nice composition, terrible focus
01/04/2006 03:17:07 PM
I think this could have been a very good photo with sharper details
01/04/2006 03:07:33 PM
Nothing is in focus.
01/04/2006 12:54:38 PM
Motion blur can be very effective, but the idea is to have at least SOME of the photo in focus, and the object/creature that is moving is blurred. Try with a tripod next time, and use either a timer or a remote release.
01/04/2006 09:29:33 AM
This might work better if the tower was in focus.
01/04/2006 09:17:39 AM
This looks like the victim of horrible camera shake on the tripod. 1

I find a higher aperture value and sometimes a filter help to decrease blow-out & blur in night shots. I always use a tripod or set my camera down on something & use a timer to shoot.

A bit too blurred for my taste.
