Greetings from the Critique Club!
Aesthetic:Overall I fee this is an average compostion. Not because there are too many kitty pictures on DPC, but somehow this one is too "flat"
Technical:Again - too flat a picture. It needed more contrast. Also DOF is shallow. There are parts which are not in focus.
Challenge:Well..anything would fit in for this challenge theme ..so no comments :)
Conclusion:I feel working with "levels" in photoshop would add some contrast and will imrove the "depth" of otherwise "flat" composition. Details on background can be little distracting sometimes.
But offcourse- the kitty is cute :)
I'm by no means expert in area of photography. My comments are purely based on my limited understanding of technology and art behind digital photography. Apart from doing detailed evaluation of your submission, my intent is to learn different styles of photography by critically evaluating selective submissions. | What a cute kitten profile! You have captured that intense gaze I like so much. The contrast is pretty low - not a lot of range in your black to white, and the cut off ears are a bit distracting, wish we could see the wiskers extending down from the cheek too. |
