Greetings from the Critique Club!
Aesthetic: Beautiful capture. You were at right place at right moment for this one. Very pleasing photo with just one subject to focus on. The background of smoke and dark sky compliments the contrasting color of biplane.
Technical: Not much comments but I feel white balance needs to be adjusted. It seems to be little towards colder side.
Challenge: Well...anything would fit into this challenge theme..so no comments on this one :)
Conclusion: I feel a bit of warmer color balance, some dodging on plane (maybe some saturation and sharpening too..only for plane) and following rule of thirds will make it ideal poster picture. This is strong composition which needs complimentary post-processing.
I'm by no means expert in area of photography. My comments are purely based on my limited understanding of technology and art behind digital photography. The aeroplane make a lovely colourful splash against the sky and the smoke trail is well capture. I wonder whether this might benefit from a tighter crop at the sides. |

Love the ways the blues and red interact. Think I'd rather it be dead center, or further off center, not somewhere inbetween though. |

Should have cropped out the smoke on the right. |

Amazing shot, as the cloud looks like it is the smoke from the plane... |

Very unique and thought provoking. I sat looking at it for several minutes and realized "a picture is worth a thousand words" This would have made a great cover for The Lions Game Good luck with this, I hope that it will be considered and appreciated for what it is worth. Had I been able to vote, I would have given a 10! |

Nice capture.
I think this works well centred in the picture. I may have been tempted to clone out the cloud on the right.
Doesn't matter though, still a great image.

Super! Love the bright red plane and the deep blue sky. The exhaust acts like a spotlight on the plane. |

I confess I am an airplane enthusiast and a pilot, so maybe this will appeal to me more than to others. But I thought this was a superb capture. I like the smoke with the aircraft coming straight towards me. Looking at the angle of the wings, it is clearly an aerobatic aircraft (Is that a Rusian Yak?) The photo has another aspect which I like very much ... it is as interesting as a thumbnail as it is full size. In any event, it is among my top picks. Well done! |

Great shot. I like the amount of space around the plane and the smoke. |

I like the deep blues and the smoke as the background contrasting with the red plane. If the plane were just a little bigger it might have helped it some more-5- |
