12 ozs linguine, 1 tblsp. olive oil, 3 cloves garlic minced, 1 1/2 cups small broccoli florets, 1 1/2 cups zucchini julienne strips, 1 cup carret julienne strips, 1 sweet red pepper cut into thin 1" long strips, 1/4 cup white cooking wine, 1 tsp. dried thyme, 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper, 1/2 cup shredded fresh parmesan cheese, 1/4 cup snipped and loosely packed fresh Italian parsley.

Cook the pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, lightly spray an unheated large skillet with olive oil no stick spray. Add the oil and heat over medium high heat. Add the garlic. Cook and stir for 30 seconds. Then add the broccoli, zucchini, carrots and red peppers. Cook and stir for 3 to 5 minutes, until crisp-tender.

Stir in the wine, thyme and pepper. Reduce the heat to medium. Cover and cook for 1 minute more.

Transfer the vegetable mixture to a large bowl. Add the hot pasta. If desired sprinkle with parmesan cheese and parsley. Gently toss until well mixed. Serve immediately.

Thankyou all for your kind words. I got my first goal reached for 2006, to make it to 80%. Also my second goal, to break a six. My last goal is to keep it consistantly in the 40-50% range overall. Of course, that has already gone by the board, but maybe if you take all the scores from 2006, it will be there.

I have to admit when I did this photo, I pretty much took it out of a recipe book and tried copying it. I even painted a pepper shaker just like the one in the book, and I edged a napkin with yellow paint, and painted some wooden utensils ivy green. A few things I forgot (like a little grated cheese on the side, and some over the food) but generally it came out nearly the same tones and placement as the original image. It was absolutely delicious, but I am a veggie freak anyway.

Congratulations on a fine finish! Nice set-up and colours. Could be my monitor but the salad looks a little soft. Nevertheless, good job and very happy for you. :)

Beautiful presentation, nice lighting - but the extra details are what make this special - 9

Nice picture, looks appetizing. I like the angle of the photo.

Good composition, arrangement and perspective. The high key look is fine but it is a hair oversharpened giving it a slightly grainy look.

Strange, unappealing green tint. Otherwise, OK.

Good placement of the accessory ingredients however the colors look over-saturated for food.

nice color composition

Nicely done. Love the colors here, the black spoons really emphasize the reds.

Excellent presentation. I would have liked to see the whole plate though. 9

Another very good presented, and well taken image.....

I like the lines created by the utensils, cutting board and cloth under the baord. The colors seem a bit off to me though and the top seems a bit overexposed. With all of the shapes and textures in the bowl, I might have chosen a plain bowl instead of one with so much decoration itself. Hope you enjoyed eating it... it looks yummy!

Great colours in a clear pic. The one small niggle - the bits spilled on the table look out of place

nice use of complimentary colors. fairly sharp. Didn't need upper distractions to try to add to an already solid capture.

Nice presentation and composition, seems a little over sharpened or too contrasty, but overall well done.

Colors are lost here ... too much yellow/green?
01/11/2006 08:21:39 AM
Looks good. I would only use a different color plate, so the colors of the vegetables could stand out more...

Try reducing the blue. The greens will brighten up.

Has a yellow cast to it.
