What a regal animal!
Sadly, however, it shouts of the lifelessness of captivity for I am assuming this was taken at a zoo.
Great photo! This is the epitome of a dictionary photo depicting the term Lioness. |

The blown highlights here are a dull grey rather than white, which spoils what could have been a nice photo to me. You should try moving the levels slider a bit to get a full range of black to white. |

For a static shot of wildlife, not normally my favorite, this one has great emotion and character. Perfect focus, DOF and woderful choice to duotone the photo. Great job. |

Interesting that one is is brighter than the other. Like how close in you are though. |

Nice capture. Great expression. It seems to be a bit oversharpened though. |

A lovely expression captured here and wonderful framing. I, myself, would prefer to see the mid-tones a touch darker, as it looks a little 'washed out' to my eyes. The lighting conditions look to have been a little harsh when you took this. You did a wonderful job to get such a balanced exposure. |

Nice close-up...black and white was a nice choice. Good tones and texture.
She looks sad.
The right eye (left in photo) looks odd. Wondering if extra sun light was cloned out. |

A little too much on the one eye.. and I'm not entirely sure about the B&W here myself. |

i notice a lot of editing has been done...i also see that you edited the eye on the left, but not the eye on the right...kinda makes it look like this lion has a glass eye |

looks a little overprocessed IMO, I think a bump in contrast would help overall image. Very nice composition though. |

Really love this photo. Lions are such beautiful creatures and this one just looks so forlorn. Black and white works very well for this shot. |

How Regal! The pose and the composition of this are just stunning. It looks great in black and white -- but there's something about the grays and whites that don't contrast quite enough. But it's still a striking photo, and I love it!! |

I like the pose you captured and the nice quiet mood. The perspective is also nice. I do however, find the highlights on my left just a bit too blown leaving no detail:-( |
