 Mel modelled for me early 2005.

I forget the exact post processing steps here, but there was very little required. From memory, and looking at the RAW, there was:

Curves (possibly levels as well)
USM
Minor spot editing to remove a couple of skin Blemishes and stray hairs
Small crop to remove extra space above head

Cool lighting, nice image, her eyes are so pretty I think it would be a stronger image if she was looking at the camera.

Nice use of lighting on the hair. It feels like it needs just a litte more lighting on her face and torso. Also seems a little too soft around her face.

The title says t very well. I'm not sure the necklace is necessary. I get that it adds a flavor of intrigue to the shot, I just don't think it's needed. Her expression, the back light, and how pretty she is, makes this a great portrait.

Great subject and lighting. Having her look away adds a sense of mystery but I feel that I would be more drawn in if I could look into her eyes. Best of luck.

Your back light is to strong for my taste. I love just a slight glow to accent the shot. The subjest is almost overpowered by the light. Bring your back light down a few stops

Extremely nice except for "blown-out" part of hair---which for purposes of reproducing prints could probably be fixed with some careful cloning, etc. Skin tones, eyes, composition great.

This is interesting. I love the title. Interesting light on her skin as well as the backlighting. Not the expected portrait. Her nose is slightly out of focus.

Stunning lighting effect. I like this portrait, no, I REALLY like this portrait. Tones are warm and I like how this shot is composed. Model is beautiful and her pose is perfect. Well done.
