As I mentioned above, this was one of my first photos on the 20D. It doesn't look very interesting at 640 pixels, but the original looks great. There's a lot of detail that you can't see here; which is too bad.

Thanks for all the constructive comments. I'm always open to new ideas.

I get your image, but I don't find it all that interesting (sorry I am feeling very direct and to the point today). Technically it seems a little soft on the focus to me.

Seems a little too cluttered in my opinion, and the composition a bit too central, but I like the colours and the light.

I really don't think you have maximised the potential of this shot, making one side at least 640 or in this case all as I think it is square would have helped with this and added to its impact.

I like the way the lighting works, to highlight the flower/seed pod of the palm...

i'm not sure that i know what the subject should be here. is it the tree, the light, the hanging thing? the background elements distract from the rest of the shot too.

well it is a pix, Flowers?? color bland, lighting bland, dof ok, car distracting, comp not interesing, angle needs work, b&w ok, overall a very uninteresting attempt (why????)

too much of an orange cast here. The composition is not appealing.

The mailbox and car are really distracing in this shot.

??? i don't get it. it's not very interesting or fun to look at, at least for me. but hey, that's just my opinion. as long as you like it, that's what matters.
