I took this photo of an unsuspecting homeless from The Met in Central Park during Cristo's "The Gates". It was taken in Mid-February and was very cold. I am new to photography and only had my camera for a few days when I took the picture. I'm open to any advice you have.

What are the weird artifacts in front of his face? His breath in the cold air? They prove very distracting. Apart that, I like the image.

An o.k. portrait, a good "life" shot, but nothing really jumps out at me.

Very nice use of available light and the paper makes a convenient reflector as well as being a natural part of the composition. I don't understand the title but that doesn't really matter.

Nice candid but what is that dirt between the man and the newspaper?
Did you take it trough a window or was your lens so dirty?
You could have cloned it out.

I find the composition and angle here a bit awkward. Too much has been cropped off of every side in my opinion. The orange thing in the background is a bit distracting too.
