 I had a hard time deciding on an image for this challenge. I wasn't able to get a prop I needed for my one solid concept so I had to resort to just going out to a local zoo to see what I could get. I got some decent shots though and it ended up being a difficult decision. There were a lot of colorful shots but I decided this would best fit the challenge since it states "use a colorful impact to offset your subject from the rest of the photograph." The key part being my other shots had strong color throughout the whole frame.

Post processing on this was minor color mode adjustments in nikon capture and then selective desaturation of some background greenery in photoshop followed by a resize and unsharp mask.

Nice DOF and focus here. IMHO the WB seems a tad on the cool side with slight oversaturation of blue/green (probably a result of shooting in the shade) but an easy fix in post processing. Just my opinion, nice shot nonetheless

Nice to see another natural burst of color as opposed to one post-processed. A pretty shot. I like the composition.

Yes, meets the challenge, but I don't like the composition, which is too busy, nor the uneven, harsh lighting.
