What a face! The depth of focus reall catches and emphasizes the eyes - but the processing 9I'm assuming use neat imaged and blurred a bit?) makes him look a bit like a claymation figure.

I love that you are right up in his face for this shot. The texture of the skin on the face is great. It would be nice to see a little more detail in the hands too, since they take up quite a bit of the frame, but altogther I think this is a terrific shot. 10.

amazing capture but it looks like too much noise reduction.. which is a shame! all the details have gone, I'd rather see more noise

While I am not personally a fan of the great apes, I must agree that they do make wonderful subjects. When you take a moment to stop and look at their eyes, you really do get a sense that they are contemplating life. This picture is no exception. Wonderful capture of the "thoughts behind the eyes"
