This photo was taken at the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati, OH of a man pruning the bonsai collection. I liked the texture and I tried to accentuate it by stressing the contrast in the photo. I'm not sure if it is my absolute best photo of the year, but I like it and I hope some of you do to.

Curves, levels, selective color, channel mixer, crop, I think that was it.

Nice photo. From the title I'd expected a little more of the hands, less of the shrub, however, I like it either way.

Interesting shot, would have like to have seen the colour create the contrast and pull the hands out of the shot to make them the true focus.

I love pictures of hands that tell a little something about the person. This is very nice with beautiful black and white tones.

I personally think this would have been a stronger photo if you had gotten in closer for the shoot, and isolated the hands doing the work mre. The business of the rest of the photo distracts from your subject, and the high contrast (with too much of the window showing), does it no real favors.

Really nice black and white shot here. So much detail and the lighting is great.
