| I think it the tear drops below the red plume that make this shot for me. Kind of resembles tears of blood from all the fighting America has done to remain a free country. Nice work! 9 -danny |

| Wow!!! Outstanding capture! This picture is very well balanced, even with the empty space in the upper left. I love the way the two small boats are caught by the reflections in the water from their respective light sources. Also, that's one hell of a fireball fireworks! Almost seems to be a UFO out of Strange Encounters of the Third Kind. Are you sure that it's not really abducting earthlings? :) Excellent job! |

| Nice shot. I love the effect of the double-burst, the reflection on the water, and the boats out there showing people enjoying it - all add up to a lovely photo! The monument is a nice touch, too, though my attention goes first to the fireworks and their reflection. |

| I'll start off by saying that I like this shot, so my comments don't seem negative. I like all of the elements; fireworks, architecture, kayakers in the water. By eyes do seem to bounce between the building and the fireworks looking for a primary subject or a relationship. Developing a relationship between the two by position within the frame or line might help make a really good shot great. thanks for the enjoyable piece of work. |

| A tigher cropping of the fireworks with the kayakers in the foreground would have made for a better composition. I find the lights on the bridge and building to the left to bright and distracting. |
