Too bad about the green background, also the prey dominates too much over the much cooler looking predator. All this just imo obviously! Good luck! |

this is disgusting, not the image but the subject.. it's a great macro but should come with a warning for people that eat by their computer.. I almost spit my food all over my keyboard.... |

Great macro shot! I'm eating my lunch at my desk as I am viewing and voting so this really grossed me out! :-) Praying mantis' are so very cool and this extra close up view is awesome, despite what is happening. |

Really nice capture! I've never seen one where the mantis has ever actually caught anything. Maybe a slightly wider DoF to get the front legs of the 'victim' in focus would improve it a bit, buth nothing to take away from this one. |

Amazing macro of the insect world. The upright verticle composition seems lacking in dynamic verve. If this was cropped, try a diagonal crop to see what would happen to the movement. Great focus and clarity. |
