haha... horses don't roll when they colic, they thrash. they roll to scratch/stretch... or just for fun.

the colors are just as they are in real life. it's winter but we have no snow. the trees on the mountains have lost their leaves and the grass is dead, but it was a bright sunny day.

no physical sign perhaps, but what is your definition of a sign of happiness?

thanks for the input. i like to have the white borders to seperate the shots from the site, but i can see how it could hurt the shot.

What an expression and pose! This is a fun shot, and while it might be a more 'out of the box' take on the challenge, it's one of my top picks. Well done!

I generally have very mixed feelings about anthropomorphism. I do find the composition here to be a bit on the bland side, and I'd reckon the inclusion of more of a background might have resulted in a more effective image. The colors seem a bit strange as well, with a bit of a hazyness to the hills in the background.

I like this. Backing off a little could have been better.

The thick white border actually seems to hurt this shot. It's a hillarious picture, though it is a bit weak (technically). Nevertheless, the subject is just great enough for me to be fond of the shot. Nice work.
