| I suspected this would get hit with some anti-American sentiment. I guess we all vote with hearts on some level. Great job and deserved a higher placing. I'd like to think if I saw a well-done picture of another country's flag I would vote "somewhat" objectively. Otherwise, this is less about photography and more about a personal political statement. |

I'm as tired as everyone else of the boring old cliche flag shots.
This IS NOT one of them.
This is a GREAT image. It portrays a feeling of history. This flag has been somewhere, and it has a story to tell. Maybe to Iraq, maybe from years of being hiked in and out of boy scout campgrounds. I don't know, but I'd love to find out.
Great lighting, great composition. Just great. I love it. |

this is the worst picture in this challenge.. a shot of a dirty flag with bat stiches...
and while Bush is killing innocent Iraqis the flag is nothing to be proud of.... |

| One of the best stars 'n' stripes photos I've seen. Looks like a well worn, quality flag. The detail on the stars is especially good. Seems a little strange seeing the stars filling the top half when you're used to seeing the whole flag, but it doesn't really detract (and is quite possibly more effective this way). |

I'm gonna guess that your not getting great scores here because there is a lot of anti-American sentiment going on in the world right now. I will tell you that as soon as I saw this a little lump popped up in my throat. Good shot! A little gritty but I think it fits the image. Keep it up and don't let anyone against this great nation insid or abroad bring ya down.

| Cool shot. Good lighting and great detail. I like the faded worn flag. I think it portrays a rugged strength type thing. Very cool, symbolicly. Nice job. As I'm sure you already know, keep in mind with your votes that this is a very international site, and the display of an american flag could garner many negative reactions and votes, no matter how well done. Cool pic though, I like it :-) |

| This has a really great vintage feel to it...I really like the processing, it almost looks like a hand tinted film image...the light is really nice. This is actually one of the better flag images I think I have seen, at least for me...well done. |
