Interesting picture, nice colors, composition, sharpness, and DOF. Creative meeting of the challenge. I keep coming back to look at it.

Wow, nice picture of the destruction. Love the sky, so calm and beautiful behind such empty shells.

Without the caption, there's no way to know what this might be a sign of. Nice clean colors, though!

Lovely photo, but I am confused re the signs...

If it was 'singled out' then I'd agree, however it does not meet that challenge... Sorry for the rant, you called it with your title.
Nice colors, great DOF and sharpness, the image is a strong witness of one disaster. I don't think the image by itself (without the title) screams "sign" and hence the deduction. 6 overall.

Perhaps my first go at a comment on this was a bit harsh. This should be more to the point:

Job 38
1 ¶ And Jehovah answered Job out of the tempest and said:
2 Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Now gird up your loins like a man, for I will question you; and you teach Me.
4 ¶ Where were you when I founded the earth? Declare if you know understanding.
5 Who has set its dimensions, for you know? Or who has stretched a line on it?
6 On what were its bases sunk? Or who cast its cornerstone,
7 when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
8 Or who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst out; it came forth from the womb?
9 When I made the clouds to clothe it, and darkness its navel-band;
10 and I broke My limit on it and set bars and doors;
11 and I said, You shall come to here, but no further; and here your proud waves shall be set?
12 ¶ Have you commanded the morning from your days, and caused the dawn to know its place,
13 that it might take hold of the wings of the earth; that the wicked might be shaken out of it?
14 It is turned like clay under a seal; and they stand out like a garment.
15 And their light is withheld from the wicked, and the high arm shall be broken.
16 Have you gone to the springs of the sea; or have you walked in searching of the deep?
17 Have death's gates been opened to you; or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?

You speculate on God's intent?

I might adjust levels a bit to enrich the neutral tones of the structures. Beautiful sky!
