Composition is excellent. I like the crop a lot and I love her wistful look. The sepia is restrained, although I'd like to see a B&W as well to judge whether I like it better. Perhaps the sepia is not the proper tone for her skin. I'm glad the flowers don't jump out in a blast of color. They are subtle, although there are plenty here who do not like selective desat at all. The biggest issue is the highlight on her right breast. It is blown enough that we lack any definition. If you stare long enough you can fool yourself that there is no breast there at all. There is also a small smudge or shadow at the lower edge that distracts because the eye keeps asking "is that a nipple or not?" |

Greetings from the DPC Critique Club!
...and I really did not do anything special to get all you images for critique :)
Well...I'll keep this one simple. I'm not too sure on whats the subject here - Flowers or model. But for sure - the presence of model in background enhances the presence of flower. Btw, I checked your other photos and I really envy you for getting hold of such gorgeous model. Coming back, somehow this is more of a flower picture because of the strong colors. Also if you carefully look at the model breast (ehm..;)), you can see it to be over-exposed (strictly in photographic terms :)) and details are burnt out. For this to be model picture the focus need to be sharp on face or any other "interesting" body part need to be center of (eye) focus.
Overall a interesting picture. The setting seems to be good and offers potential of even better photo ...maybe with different angle or crop. |

Sweet and beautiful portrait...I love the expression, the pose, the color in the flowers and sepia--a drama-tic effect. But, oh, if there were just 15 more pixels at the top of the photo so her left eye was not cut off! Hope you attempt this style again--it's fairly unique. |

What nice tones, and I love the direction the image flows diagonally from one corner to the other. Great lighting on the model. |

I am a big fan of selective desat when it is well done. This is subtle and charming. good luck. 8 |

Fotoman...this has to be you, I think that's your model...and it has your "feel" of editing to it. Wouldn't it make more sense if the flowers were on the other side?
:P Good photo...you get an 8 from me. |
