Greetings from the Critique Club
This is a very interesting picture and the idea is great. I like all the colors here, they really set the stage and the ripples in the water are a nice touch. I think the crop and title are perfect. The problems I do see are the focus on the subject. Its a bit off. The water has a bit of a blur to it but not enough to create the impact of setting off your subject. If it was sharper or more blurred I think would be better. The lighting is good and creates a nice effect on the water. I like how the neck leads my eyes to the face of your subject. Well done there with the rule of thirds. |

| Quite beautiful; how did you get up so close without scaring the bird away? Perhaps a slightly sharper and more pronounced depth of field effect would have added an extra touch. |

| 4 - Good potential. Colors seem good. Criticism; difficult to discern whether it is 'blur' issues here or focus &/or too tightly cropped, resulting in loss of quality. Depending what you had to work with, perhaps trying to incorporate more of the rings/ripples of the water for added effect, and the above mentioned 'sharper'/focal issues, would likely have made this much better in my opinion. |
