Nice work. Although to me, it doesn't really say 'wow' - perhaps cropping in at the point the pencil hits the water, showing the distortion of the pencil would be more effective. Just my opinion. Still very clear and sharp photography. Good work. Ruthann |

The execution and composition of this photo is very nice. I'm having a hard time getting excited about the overall subject though. = 8 - jmsetzler |

good illustration of the warping effect of fluid. otherwise, pretty bland. technically good, but not much depth to it. |

definately meets the challenge and all is in focus, but I'd try to extend some extra meaning to it |

Sometimes the simplist ideas done well are the most effective. I really like the way you handled this photo in your use of coloration and exposure. Very good job. |

It's broken! (oh, yea a visual distortion) Very nice, simple shot. Well executed. Debated with myself about the light streaks on the glass, but neither side won. Photo 9 Transparency 9 total 9 swash |

Simple, attractive, and just a little bit surreal. |

It fits the category but a pencil in water, what is the point? |

I would have liked more lighting on the pencil. Otherwise nicely set up. |

Clean and simple. I like it. A little more sharpness on the pencil? |
