| Great subject - perfectly meets the challenge. However, sadly the focus seems a tad soft all over and with advanced editing allowed, imho, this would have benefited from removal of the fence wire. If this had been totally sharp though it would have been a 10, no question. |

| Good, though naturally disturbing to look at. It looks too dull, though. Needs to be sharper to really "pop". |

| Very dramatic capture. I'd like to see sharper details--the bird isn't standing out quite enough from the background--I like to see crisper deliniation of form. The bird's eye looks a bit glazed over to me because of the strong glare in its pupil. It has a fairly strong emotional impact but this is sort of built in given the gory content. It would have been really powerful if the bird had been looking at the viewer instead off-frame. Overall, it's a cool shot. It just lacks a bit in image quality for me. |
