Well yes it is my childhood fantasy.

I spent a whole day finding a lightsaber and handsewing the robe (yes I did it by hand).

The postprocessing was mostly levels and gaussian blur to make the saber shine out. I also smoothed the skin a little and did some USM.

I know about the ugly shadow under the nose and yes I hate it too. :(

I am so happy this had such a wonderful, high finish. Its really a beautiful photo. A 7.064 would have won a ribbon in so many other challenges, but 5th place in a challenge like this is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations!

She has a very strong "Seven of Nine" quality.
(Disclaimer - if this means nothing to you, go find a nerd/Trekkie to explain it..)
Oh, and a very good fantasy portrait.

Very neat and very well executed. The subject stands out with great clarity to portray the pleasant facuial expression. Bumping up.

Good lighting and great eyes, however the face looks a little synthetic for my taste.

the model is beautiful but seems too posed and the pink lipstick threw me off.

This is technically a [erfect photo. the idea is great and comes across clearly and I can find nothing to nit pick. I'm not sure how I feel about the face, though. Seems a tad too perfect to me, but that's just my personal opinion. Good luck!

You know, that face looks really clean, like model-clean... I don't know how you did it... or how she cept such a clear complexion

Great skin tones - very good use of lighting. Skin is almost too smooth though. [9]

You have a beautiful model; why did you make her look plastic with the aggressive NeatImage-ing? I think that doing so really hurt an otherwise great photo. A stronger catchlight would have made this a stronger portrait. I'd be interested in seeing more texture detail in her clothing; I'm not sure how much of this lack of texture is due to the lighting configuration and how much was just killed by NI.

Excellent concept and execution. The face is a little too smooth IMO (there seems to be more detail in the hands), and her expression seems rather stoic, but you're still going to make the top 10 easily for the great imagination, lighting and color. Nice! 9

Her face looks like a computer generated image, very effective and I am wondering if that was the artists intention? I like the subtle deliniation of the barely seen arm. The focus is so crisp and I really like the simplicity of the composition - a 9

The second 'Jedi' themed photo I've seen and this one is very well done. The lighting on the face is great, the barely visible brown cloak and the glowling saber... Very well done. 8
