One of those lovely derlict farm building one sees. This one is quite close to where we live and just had to be worth an entry in this challenge.

I ask viewers to be impressed and inawe of my heroic and dangerous efforts to bring them this shot. Especially guys will appreciate the dangers in straddling an electric fence to get to a shooting position. Above and beyond the call of duty, but no sacridice is too small to bring fellow DPCers fine pictures ...

Post-processing is just a little colour work. No sharpening, no cropping, everything else just spoiled it. The worst aspect is the sawtooth pattern on the boards. On my monitor it was like this straight out of the camera. any attempt to sharpen just made it way worse.

What an appropritate entry for that challenge this pic was! LOL My first thoughts were "fix the horizon." Then looking a little closer, I see the power line pole. Good choice to leave that in. You should give the Dragan action a whirl on this. You might get some cool results. You are one brave man for stradling that fence..LOL

From the Critique Club:

My inital thoughts were I needed to adjust my vertical and horizontal settings on my monitor. I love the idea and I do think it fits the challenge. I do feel that alot of other people will think it does not. And with the subject like this it is hard to just crop half of it away.

The greens are very nice and rich. The rust is a nice touch as well in the center of the frame. I do not know if a different crop would have helped much. I think it just came down to voters personal tastes. But very nice job and nice find.

This is what good photography is all about, seeing things and capturing them. I can´t imagine why this amazing photo was not recognised for it´s quality, not only is this one of the best examples of off-centered subject but humorous as well. Fantastic!

This would fit better if there were some negative space to the left or right
