 Taken in the hospital the day after she was born. Used one light with softbox turned straight up and bounced off ceiling. This shot is pretty much straight out of the camera, my only adjustment was to clone out moms hospital id braclet and resized for challenge. Her lips were really that pink. She is a beautiful baby.

well, after looking thru dozens of anne geddes photos of babies, I don't think she would take this shot. She likes to enclose babies, remind us of how small they are. Your picture makes the baby look grand, even hints at the power this baby will grow into. For that reason, I think you've achieved something more profound, even though geddes' technique and eye are very impressive. So I put this under influence, rather than mere imitation. Good work.

Beautiful. My only suggestion would have been to make the subject the baby was laying in a bit bigger, as most of Anne's photos are thus in nature. I'm still impressed and think this photo was mastered her style.(comment by wife-o-hutch, not the original hutch hehe)

May be some softer colors could do better, but it does have a touch of her!!!!! And yeah, it has that tender feeling yeah!

Nice one. It would be perfect if you couldn't see the diaper. Beautiful baby and the lighting is nice. Good quality to the skintones as well.

yes that is an ann geddes shot...but where is celene dion? Great photo...crop is a bit tight...you useually see more in anne's shots...a couple of distractions are the nappy (?) and the sleves detail on mom
