Nice capture, but you cut the second trunk off with the boarder which hurts your composition a bit. |

A little overexposed for my tastes and I'm not much for using frames on photos unless they're the kind that you put the photo into. |

Good composition and very nice color balance. I'm not overly fond of the framing but I like the picture |

Although the border is unique, I find it distracting since it creates a bright spot on the back of the older sibling. |

It seems like you really went to town with the post-processing and bordering, but the town was too far away. ;-) |

I find the border really distracting...would prefer to see all three elephants instead of only a part of the third. |

I don't like how the edge cuts off the trunk. Blue seems a bit over saturated. Other than that, nice. |

Very appealing subject. Unfortunately, this is just too overexposed and contrasty for my taste. I'm wondering if the strong contrast is the result of pushing the levels too far in post-processing in an attempt to boost the lost shadow details. It's nice as a personal keepsake but IMO this one couldn't be saved with post-processing. I suggest you try bracketing your exposure next time to compensate for the contrasty lighting which clearly fooled your light meter. I don't care for the framing at all. |

Given the spirit of the challenge was to capture a shot of wildlife in its natural environment, I find it most difficult to believe that this was done with your entry. Needless to say my vote on this was very low given those circumstances. When a photo does not do its best in composition to depict actual challenge guidelines, my stadegy for voting immediately stops and it becomes a DNMC to me. Also, lose the frame next time. It is a distraction. Nice capture though, but not one I believe meets the guidelines of this challenge. |

Not sure what you were going for with the border, but i don't care for it. Highlights on the pachyderms are a bit blown. |
