Sorry to hear about your buck! Nice shot anyways, yeah I agree cropping out the top would definiately keep my eye on the buck, I seem to keep looking for some thing else

Sad news today. This deer was hit by a car and found dead by the side of the road... bummer. But I'm sure that his genetics are spread in the heard we have in our neighborhood (30+ doe).

Thank you for the comments. I really didn't want to post this picture as the picture I "was" trying to get was of some turkey vultures consuming a dead deer. I felt I could get a good picture of them if I could get close enough but everytime I tried they would fly away. Even parked myself near the site for over an hour trying....

This deer is actually part of a large heard that roams my neighborhood. I was lucky to run into him at the time of the challenge. Actually, for the same problem as the vultures I couldn't get close enough to get a close shot so as some of you noticed this shot looks processed because I had to really crop into it.

This only argues that I really, really, really need a telephoto lens for my camera. Looking at the 70-200l lens now ;-).

The composition and "pose" are great, but, technically, I feel that the image falls flat. The focus seems a bit off and the colors aren't quite vibrant.

Nice capture of a nice pose. Cropping out some of the top would be better.

I think this is one of the only TRUE wildlife pictures in here so far. Very good focus, nice and crisp and clear!

The image has an overly processed feel to it.

Little bright in the foreground and deer. Could darken the contrast some on that. Nice buck though

looks like a crop of a bigger picture and lacks a bit of oomph, but a great capture
