Was just lucky enough to have him involuntarily pose for me. He hates the camera, but was sorta sleepy, so didn't pay me much attention.

Shot with fill flash, SB-80 at full power and 80mm zoom bounced of ceiling.

A little Dodging here, a little burning there.

Slight rotation and distort to fix perspective prolems.

Cloned a few specs off the curtains.

Levels adjustment layer.

A little jump on the contrast.

Very careful crop to center framing.

Resize. USM. Save as Jpeg.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Technical:
Not much comment on this one. Pictures seems to be well exposed.

Aesthetic:
Overall a great capture. I guess, cleaner window (without stains) would have give darker background and would have given "depth" to picture. The shine of light on window, due to whatever-is-on-glass is little distracting. And yes- the dog is cute :)

Challenge:
For sure - it fits the challenge!

Conclusion:
I feel is a good work done considering the harsh lighting and reflections. I dont know how the contrast could have been improved, but it could have given depth to photo. Maybe you could try with curves .. but I'm not to sure:)

I'm by no means expert in area of photography. My comments are purely based on my limited understanding of technology and art behind digital photography. Apart from doing detailed evaluation of your submission, my intent is to learn different styles of photography by critically evaluating selective submissions. If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via email or PM.

Wish you a great day!

Aww, Love this picture. I had a dog just like him, thank you for reminding me of him. They do like to act like a big dog. I like how he is looking out, almost a 'longing' feel to this picture. Nicely done!

Wow! Love it!!! The color, lighting, and composition are wonderful. I also like the light reflections on the glass... adds texture to the photograph. 10.

I like the composition and the dog in the window, the overexposure makes the overall look a little flat however..
