I enjoyed this photo during the challenge, but had forgotten about it until rediscovery. Very well done photograph, the colors are awesome. |

9 - Very nice. Criticism (somewhat difficult with abstracts); perhaps not quite so dark, not sure. Maybe also needs the slightest nudge up on the right to get it dead straight, again, not sure. Up to 9 from 8, also because harder to do abstracts that aren't macros in my opinion. |

If the blades were cropped out, I would of been convinced. But, as it is, I do not see an abstract, I see a tight shot.
Definition 1= Art that departs significantly from natural appearances. Forms are modified or changed to varying degrees in order to emphasize certain qualities or content. Recognizable references to original appearances may be slight. The term is also used to describe art that is nonrepresentational.
Definition 2=Not realistic, though the intention is often based on an actual subject, place, or feeling. Pure abstracion can be interpreted as any art in which the depiction of real objects has been entirely discarded and whose aesthetic content is expressed in a formal pattern or structure of shapes, lines and colors. When the representation of real objects is completely absent, such art may be called non-objective.
I like the color, excellent comp, good lines, great light, good texture, good flow, overall a great pix, but not for this challenge |

My initial reaction was that this wasn't very abstract but it is nevertheless a very intersting quality image. The bronze of the propellor matches the gold of the hull nd the bright pieces of the anti-fouling on the rudder and stern are like two puntuation points. It would make a fabulous framed print. |

I can tell what it is, but I still think it is a good abstract. Great colors and angle. 10 |

A little too dark in the centre (at least on my monitor) and I recognised it immediately, so I guess it struggles a little to fit the challenge criteria. Sorry. |

This one really caught my eye, very different to the run of the mill shots in this challenge. I particularly like the fact that you have made a definite decision to only show part of the propeller. Leaving the viewer to fill the rest for themselves. Deserves a ribbon in my eyes. |
