To me this looks like high shutterspeed and long lens, I could be wrong. If I am not it is still a great picture. You captured the colors of the feathers wonderfully. |

I wish you'd entered this in Wildlife, it would have scored brilliantly. For this one, there just not enough panning motion |

Nice shot although it doesn't look like it's been panned to me. I may be wrong but it seems that the background is just thrown out of focus. I can't be certain though. I hope I'm not being unfair to you. |

Great image, not a great title! (but no points off for that) |

I am an F-16 pilot and haven't had the oppourtunity to fly for a while. Looking at this picture Irealized how much I missed flying. |

Good depth of field, but doesn't really look like motion blur. |

Very cool...almost looks like he's hovering in front of my screen. |

Nice photo. Hard to tell if the panning technique is used because you also have a very shallow DOF. |

Great shot. It looks more like DOF separation than motion panning separation. I like the image anyway. |

beautiful capture, however the background really doesn't give the impression of speed. Shutter speed of 1/15s seems to do the job well. I'd like to see the shutter speed of this photo and quite a few others |

Shallow depth of field has taken away from any sense of panning. |

A good capture. Would have liked to have seen the bird more to the right of the frame to suggest it had somewhere to fly into. The head looks like it might be a little out of focus (but that could just be down to the size of the image). Good colours and good technique. |

It's a very nice shot-- the bird certainly stands out from the background. However, it seems that the background is much more a result of shallow DOF than of motion blur. |

Doesnot appear exactly motion panning, simply out of focus background. Good entry for Wildlife challenge, though! 6. |

Isn't this blur DOf rather than a motion blur? |

great shot, but blur is more OOF than motion blur from panning. |
