This really is a photograph of a soy field. I took it from a small plane near the Rio Grande in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The purpose of the flight was to take photographs of flood damaged areas near the river for an NGO that is working there.

This is not a macro shot of a couch or of painted deck slats. Thanks for all the comments and for voting this picture so high. I am a little surprised it did so well given the abstract nature of the shot. Several people commented that it was over saturated. I did not increase the saturation at all, I did increase the contrast slightly and slightly changed the hue of center/left stripe to give give the image a bit more interest. I do wish there had been a tractor or some workers in the field to help give some perspective.

I am glad to see this within the top 20, I was afraid people weren't going to really look at it and vote it low...I think it should have placed higher but oh well!!

Almost an abstract as if reducing a majestic scene down to a postage stamp. Very good work! Congratulations on your top 20 finish.

At first, I thought this was wooden slats/boards, painted green. Then I saw the title...either way, lovely greens, nice perspective. Good luck

Simple. Clean. Crisp. Clear. Well focused. If only for a combine or some field workers to contrast. Still, very nice.
