In PSP, in which I have PSP8, it tells you to make a duotone image you need to turn it to grey scale, increase the color bits to 16 million, then take it to colorize and choose a hue and sat. This is the procedure I followed.
This was taken from the driveway and into someones backyard. Wish my backyard had this kind of scene :)
There is actually a squirrel on the tree trunk about midway up from the ground to where the tree breaks into branches. After brightness/contrast, he disappears, unfortunately. I have another of him at the base of the tree, but didn't like that no sky showed in that shot so I didn't use it. I like that the sky gives a bit of pop to the photo and a balance. But wished the little squirrel had been running across the green instead of up the tree when I took this shot, or even a bird in the water. It would have added a bit more interest, but just being "Still" is nice too.
It was misty and raining and cloudy when I took this. I loved the look in real life. Kind of spooky. But giving it a greenish hue really brings it alive to me. Makes it seem like the entire image is covered in moss.
Green is one of my favorite colors. It's a serene and peaceful color. I just didn't want to go plain old sepia on this, and blue looked nice too, but nothing seemed as nice as the green. I hope you enjoy.

To those that wondered....
The stick or thing you see hanging down that is a distraction is really a small branch off a larger one that grew down rather than up and replanted itself in the ground. LOL...It's a bit strange, and that is why I took this angle of a shot. It is kind of more masked this way, but I too wish it wasn't there.'
There were also a few squirrels around. Had I gotten one in the shot, I think it would have made it more interesting. I did in a few shots, but didn't like the overall composition of those shots compared to this one where the sky shows more than a squirrel. As I said there is also a squirrel on the tree, but it blended into the trunk of the tree in PP. So I just entered this one.
Thank you to all who liked it and voted. I am very happy with the placement considering the many entries!

I don't mind your duotone - it's kind of refreshing from all the black and whites I've seen. Something about the composition though..for me at least, I wish there was some other element to make it a bit more interesting. |

beautiful choice of colours and a very tranquil scene... my one nit is that thing or branch or whatever it is hanging down on the right hand side near the tree.. it's kind've distracting..... just my opinion though. |

I did not like most of the pictures which were not black&white or sepia but this green works really well! |
