well there isn't much that I don't love about this picture. Your duotones look great. The shine in the hair is nice, but what I really like is the attitude in your facial expression. The dark corner on the left is a little distracing. Did you darken it on purpose? I like the grainy look as well. Your face is a little washed out, but it is going to be when you are doing a high key style right? I even like how part of it is not sharp focus. I don't feel that every portrait has to tack sharp. I think that you did a great job on this photo and good luck in future challenges. |

You look familiar. :) Perfect toning for high key, the shine in your hair is an awesome effect. I keep getting distracted by the line in the background, though... that's my only complaint. |

Pretty shot. Great detail on that strip of hair and the eyes. It would have been nice to not have the face so washed out but still have the eyes stand out like this. |

Very nicely done. I love the rich tones. It has a very appealing look! If you tell me you just held the camera out and took this I am going to be so jealous. I can't seem to get a portrait focuses enough with lights, tripod anything. . .much less a SELF-portrait. . .much LESS without a tripod. You did really well! |

I hope this doesn't hurt your feelings but I think you have a bald spot in the top front of your hair...otherwise I like the tones and shadow on wall |

Like the hair and eye tones and the hair light highlights. Also like how the dark tones in the bottom left corner help to balance the weight of the hair color. Neat capture. 7 |

hmm, a bit too high key. I'd like a bit more definition to your nose. 6 |

Very cool shot here. I like the strong dynamic composition. Very good self portrait. In this challenge for my higher scores, I am not only looking for technically well done shots, but also for images where the duotone adds to, strengthens, or works well with the photo. I find this one fits the bill. Has a good look and a great feel. Nice job :-) |
