 I thought this would be a fun shot to take. The fire really didn't want to cooperate, so it was a bit harder than I expected. (I had to feed it lots of kindling to get a good roaring flame, and then only had time enough for a shot or two.)

I'm mostly pleased with how it turned out. The glare on the Pepsi can is a bit harsh-- I probably should have cloned it out, but I wanted to be conservative with my editing.

Post Processing: Shot RAW. Slight crop. Brightness/contrast. Cloned out a small bit of tape between the two cans. USM. Save for web.

Special thanks to my wife for suggesting a Coke/Pepsi shot :)

Hi ericpi :)

This photo scored rather well in the challenge. I think you did a decent job of creating and executing a complete idea. Being able to formulate and execute a cohesive idea isn't always easy. Compositionally, this photo could probably use some help. It may have been more appropriate to include the full cans rather than cutting them off at the bottom. I can't really offer you much more critique on this one. You could have gone really overboard with this idea by cutting out a couple cans, flattening them out, and creating the male/female figures with the logos visible to add some real personality to the love affair that you are portraying in the image :)

Ah, more Coke and Pepsi. The fireside lovin' is nice. The whites are a little yellow. Maybe try changing your white balance?
