Great composition and capture! Has a great feel to it by including the island background. I agree it looks like a good candidate for a travel brochure.

i live in utah but there is one lake that i actually saw a pelican and got very close too (IT'S A HUGE BIRD)

It DOES look like he's posing for you! I can just see him, "Here you go. . .here's my best profile. . . did you get it???" :)

Wonderful colors! Wonderful ocean scene. Makes me want to go back to our coast and get some kick-butt pelican pictures like this :)

This one is a little too bright on his head. Good placement, it looks maybe a little oversharpened the further back you go.
