I like the concept, and I think contrasty b&w goes well with it. The highlights on the white shoe are quite blown out, which detracts from the image.

nice idea on the odd couple theme. the old worn out boot and what seems to be a ballerina shoe creates a nice contrast

Good choice for the challenge. More gentle lighting would have looked better on the white shoe.
