 Agapanthus flower lit up with a blue LED to give it a glow and then the stamen illuminted with a white LED to bring out some of the natural color. Shot in BULB mode with my 70-700 lense with extension tubes. No photoshop editing except for resize and a little sharpening.

Hi realpdm :)

This is an interesting display of shape and texture, but I think it probably missed the challenge theme to some degree. The painting with light theme suggests a moving light source, which normally creates a different sort of lighting on your subject. The motion of the light creates a major part of the impact within the image. The light itself doesn't create as much of that impact here other than by the color cast that it gives.

Beautiful lighting. My first instinct is that this looks like an Ursula image but I could be wrong. If you aren't please take this as a wonderful compliment ;) Great job!
