| Thanks for all the great comments. When I shot this I didn't notice the edge of the bench being out of the frame, I wish I did because it annoys me too. Ahh well chalk that up as another learning experience from DPC. |

congrats! this was one of my favs. and one of the handful of 9's I gave out (which might as well be a 10 since there were none of those. hehe) well taken. and well deserved. :o)

| Greetings from the Critique Club. Congratulations on your first place ribbon. Being the son of an obese father I know and feel this all to well. This is a splendid photo, nice composition, DOF, and colors. What really makes it stand out is the sad truth about it and that this is a real problem. Great capture and good luck in future challenges. |

Congrats, diversq. I loved this shot at first sight, rated it 9 and waited for the ribbon.
I love this kind of photos - not build-in-studio I mean - cause is really difficult to find a good subject during the week matching the contest. When it happens, like this time, it is always a pleasure to high rate them. |

| Nice control over the depth of field here. The background is a bit distracting, but its soft focus helps direct the viewer's attention back to the subjects. |

This isn't the greatest 'trends' photo i have seen this week, but it's the greates photo in general that i have seen this week... great work... = 10
