 First off, I giving hate giving photos a title.

Originally in colour, but now in black and white. I hope not to see any "I think this would look better in color." comments. It doesn't, that's why it's in black and white. Will this photo standout? Jugding by the number of enteries probably not.

I consider a taro patch a garden and you should too. Plus I droped my camera in the garage...excuse me while I cry.

The textures on this shot are really, really lovely. I wish the tonal range had been enhanced somehow though, because the majority of the photo has the same basic grey (I know, gardens are green). It would probably have to be done in Photoshop or something.

Very nice black and white. the DOF is perfect and its a nice photo. slightly more contrast would make this a 10. i'm giving it 9

Good choice of black and white. The contrast is good. The impact here I believe is from the verticle lines created by the leaves. Did you try this image in the vertical format to emphasize this?

Sharp, decent tonality retained in the b & w, a mode very apt for an emphasis on these variegate forms. Perspective and depth, particularly, are made to be 'felt'.

There points of slight overexposure here and there. Negligible, given the range of greys.
