 Well, I'm thinking that people will either love this photo or just plain hate it. The challenge details say to be creative so I have tried to do just that. My biggest concerns are that voters will say that the figure is too dark or that the content may offend, (this is one of the reasons the figure is a little dark). My concept was that the subject is sleeping, hence the darkness. I wanted to do this image with Tungsten but I have had such a bad run with blue that I chickened out. ;)

Thanks to Deidre who let me photograph her, sorry it took 2 hours!!!!

PS Processing:

Very little could be done to the image without causing problems with grain even though the image was taken with ISO200.

Levels, (very slight adjustment - more out of habit),
Colour Balance, (15% red),
Brightness,
Crop,
Resize and
USM.

awesome ... shot... forget about the people who say it is offending... it is art... if they think it is offending let them not be in art field!

i am interested to know the kind of lights you use to create the red lines.

This was the photo that caused all the ruckus. Well I really liked this shot either way. The only problems I have is I think you have too much black space up top and if you wouldn;t have cut off her toes or elbows I would have given you a 9 had I voted in this challenge. The reason I say 9 is because the arm is in the way for a 10. :-)

Wonderful and creative you were with this one and a well deserved 7th place.

What a fantastic shot! I didn't get a chance to comment on this while voting but I'm one of those 25 tens you received while voting. I love everything about this shot. Composition is wonderful, I like the tones from dark to light. IMO, you've nailed this challenge! Well done!

awesome possibly best in show (not sure not done voting)... bumping up. 10. Well executed, no noise, would be interested in the setup. Critique: the base of the face seems to be almost in the hand... might have been helpful to turn her face more to the side... This is very vERY minor, and I must add that this is better than anything i have ever done. I can only hope to achieve something like this someday.

Looks almost like lips...would have even been cooler if you could have somehow done that on the bottom of the nude, too, to get a full set of lips! Honestly, nudes usually get a low score from me unless they are exceptionally well done. This is exceptionally well done.

Great shot. Meets the challenge in a clear and obvious way and combines this with a photographically excellent result. The light spilling onto the skin is just the right amount to cause it to glow but not be overexposed

I like the soft lighting on the model, but the white part of the light above her seems a little harsh by comparison.
