| Sorry, I understand what you were trying to convey, but I can't get a sense of being trapped from a shot of tree branch silhouettes overhead. Trees generally desginate open space -- as does the blue sky and puffy white clouds. I think you might have delivered the concept better with some other silhouette. |

nice idea. trapped in the woods really can be a fear for us townspeople ;-)
but the photo has some flaws. e.g. the trees are all equally dark but the sky is blue and white (clouds). so the photo looks (at least to me) like as if you wanted to show the nice sky and the trees are only framing to it. so a different white balance where the trees are lighter and better seen (different shades of green) and the sky therefore is a bit overexposured would be better.
less DOF would also be better to put more focus on the trees. but i see that a wider aperture would have been difficult with the lighting conditions.
a setup where the trees really frame the photo and only a little part in the middle is empty would express this "trapped" feeling more. now there is some empty space on the bottom of the photo being contrary to "trapped".

| This is a nice clean shot but after looking at it and trying to see the sense of trapped I am only feeling calmness from the shot, not fear. |

| I like this one. Imagining looking up like this makes me feel dizzy and I think that helps convey the fear well. Good work. |

| i'm sorry, i must be missing something here. the title is 'trapped' yet i see blue sky and trees. technically, there's nothing wrong with the photo, it just doesn't seem to fit in the challenge and doesn't have a real focal point to hold my interest by itself. -- gr8photos (2) |

| This isn't what I think of when I think "trapped." There's also some compression around the leaves. Saving at a larger file size should eliminate this. |

Maybe its just me but I don't get any sense of fear from this photo. Without the title, I get no sense of fear at all... = 4 - jmsetzler
