 two leaves frozen in a puddle on my driveway. my vision was to start with an asian inspired still life design and apply a modern overlay. the blue bit connecting the two main elements represents the universe (at least to me). sure some won't like the third leaf but it just didn't look right without it.

cropped, adjusted levels and oversaturating the blue areas. burned and cloned out most debris. saved for the web

Very 'Russell Mills' type of shot. I like it. The subtle shades of blue add a real nice effect.

Kind of interesting to me, in a neo-epxressionist sort of way. Not necessarily my kind of thing, but one must make allowances for personal preferences. My real problem with it is that the square crop seems absolutely arbitrary to this composition.

I love the artistic look to this image. It is almost as if the leaves are suspended in pain on a canvas. The colors work well, I see orange, red, yellows, and a touch of blue. I love the dark empty space. Very tasteful.
